I am not a coffee connoisseur but I do love a cup of good brew in the morning, in the afternoon and sometimes in between. So it’s not surprising that my first post has something to do with coffee.

I came up with this coffee cup applique for the bag project that has been brewing in my mind.

How about a hot cup?

Embroidering that steam took me longer than making the applique.

I love this coffee cup applique! You can sew it on a coffee themed bag, an apron, a blanket or just about anything you can think of! Use a heavy weight yarn and a bigger hook to make coffee cup coasters.

I thought a group of cups would look good so I made a few more in my favorite colors.

As a way of saying thanks, do consider buying me a cup of coffee when you download this free pattern.
